Built for athletes. Backed by science.
S&C coaching designed specifically for athletes who train for their sport. Whether you're competing at club level or pushing for the top — you deserve a programme that treats you like one.
I'm Lisa — a former competitive footballer, now channelling everything I learned on the pitch into helping athletes train smarter, move better, and perform at their best in their sport.
Having lived the demands of competitive sport and navigated injuries first-hand, I bring a perspective to coaching that's rooted in real athletic experience and underpinned by evidence-based practice.
Currently coaching at Rise Fitness & Performance, I work with competitive athletes who are already in the arena — and hungry to go further.
"I coach the way I wish I'd been coached — with science, empathy, and zero compromise on intensity."
My coaching is built specifically for athletes — people who train with a sport in mind. You don't need to be professional. You need to be committed to your performance.
If you compete, train for a season, chase a position on a squad, or simply show up for your sport week after week — this is for you.
Power is the currency of sport. I build programmes around developing explosive force — through Olympic lifting derivatives, plyometrics, and rate of force development training — so that when the moment comes, you're ready to deliver it.
Female athletes are not small men. The menstrual cycle affects strength, speed, recovery, and injury risk in ways most S&C programmes completely ignore. I integrate cycle-aware periodisation so female athletes can train smarter and get more from every session.
Whether you're coming back from injury or just want to be more durable on the field, I build athletes who return better than before. Return to sport isn't just about being fit enough — it's about being stronger, faster, and more confident than when you left.
The snatch, clean & jerk, and their derivatives are among the most effective tools for developing rate of force development in young athletes. I coach these lifts as performance weapons — for any athlete who wants to be more explosive in their sport.
All coaching is built around your sport, your season, and your performance goals. Whether we work together in person or remotely — there's a way to make it work.
Fully remote, specific programming built around your training schedule, competitive season, and performance demands. Regular check-ins and video form review included.
Face-to-face athlete coaching at Rise Fitness & Performance. Real-time cueing, performance monitoring, and full programme management tailored to your sport.
A bespoke, specific programme for athletes who train independently but want expert-level periodisation and structure behind their S&C work.
Hormones fluctuate throughout the month — so should training? There's real science behind cycle syncing, but social media has turned nuance into a rulebook. Here's what the evidence actually says, and why every woman's answer looks different.
Read Article →Zone 2 has exploded in popularity — but does running slowly actually make you better at football, rugby, or hockey? The answer is more complicated than your fitness influencer suggests. A look at what field sport athletes actually need from their conditioning.
Read Article →Both plyometrics and Olympic lifting develop explosive power — but through very different mechanisms. A critical look at force-velocity profiling, rate of force development, and why the answer depends entirely on the athlete in front of you.
Read Article →Great S&C is about more than sets, reps, and periodisation. Motivation, communication, the coach-athlete relationship, and how athletes actually learn — psychology sits at the heart of coaching effectiveness, whether coaches acknowledge it or not.

"My jump height has improved significantly since I have focused on my plyometric training, and not just strength. This was the missing piece to my tennis and volleyball."
"As a self-competitive recreational runner, no one had ever taught me proper running technique or form. Working with Lisa on a specific programme tailored to me has improved my running form — making me more efficient and less injury prone. I really enjoy training with a purpose!"
You're already competing. You already put in the work. Now let's make sure your S&C is actually moving the needle — faster, stronger, and more powerful in your sport.
